The much-anticipated trailer for Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par will be released on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Fans can catch the premiere on Zee Network channels from 7:50 pm to 8:10 pm, before it makes its digital debut on Aamir Khan Productions’ official social media handles at 8:20 pm.
The film, which carries the tagline #SabkaApnaApnaNormal, is set to hit theaters on June 20, 2025.
A Thematic Sequel to Taare Zameen Par
In an exclusive interview, Aamir Khan shared that Sitaare Zameen Par thematically connects to his previous hit, Taare Zameen Par, though it is not a direct sequel. While the characters are different, both films explore similar themes.
Khan explained, “Thematically, it is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par. It is saying the same things… actually, it is saying a lot more,” offering deeper insights into human challenges and societal perceptions.
Exploring Themes of Imperfection and Multiple Intelligences
Khan elaborated on the film’s central theme, building upon the ideas from Taare Zameen Par, which addressed the struggles of a child with dyslexia. “Taare Zameen Par was about a child with dyslexia. It explored the challenges of multiple intelligences and how we are often quick to judge people based on their written and reading IQ,” he said. “Whereas, people have multiple intelligences that aren’t always recognized. We all have our own weaknesses and difficulties, and these qualities make us unique and magical.”
