Global music sensation Bad Bunny is further cementing his place in Hollywood with his latest movie role in Caught Stealing, a high-stakes action thriller directed by acclaimed filmmaker Darren Aronofsky. Starring alongside Austin Butler and Zoë Kravitz, the Puerto Rican artist—born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio—takes on a bold new character, portraying a hardened gangster.
The official trailer for Caught Stealing debuted on May 21, giving fans a first glimpse of Bad Bunny’s intense performance. In a gripping scene opposite Butler’s character, Hank Thompson, Bad Bunny’s gangster persona declares, “Either I get what I want or my pistol talks for me.” The gritty line sets the tone for a film steeped in danger, deception, and unexpected twists.
Based on Charlie Huston’s cult novel, Caught Stealing follows an ex-baseball player whose life spirals out of control after a simple cat-sitting job turns into a deadly game of survival. Aronofsky, known for psychological dramas such as Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan, brings his signature intensity to the story. The trailer’s tagline teases the chaos: “He was just supposed to watch the cat. Now he’s running for his f**king life.”
Joining Bad Bunny, Butler, and Kravitz in the ensemble cast are Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, Griffin Dunne, and Carol Kane.
