The Australian horror-thriller The Matriarch is set to premiere exclusively on VOD starting June 10, distributed by Slated Distribution. This intense new movie plunges viewers into a dark, suspenseful story of survival and betrayal in rural Australia.
The plot centers around 13-year-old Missy Taylor, who lives with her drug-addicted mother, Annette. Their fragile existence is shattered when Annette’s recently released prison boyfriend, Trent, moves in and poses a direct threat to Missy. In a desperate act of self-defense, Missy kills Trent, but her ordeal is far from over. Betrayed by her own mother, Missy is thrust into a terrifying cat-and-mouse game that challenges her courage and resilience.
