Angel Studios Unveils Trailer for Fantasy Movie ‘Sketch’

by Chris Davies

Angel Studios has unveiled the official trailer for Sketch, a visually captivating dark fantasy family movie that has already begun generating buzz in early reviews. The feature marks the directorial debut of filmmaker Seth Worley and is slated for theatrical release on August 6, 2025.

Blending whimsy with darker tones, Sketch follows the story of 10-year-old Amber (played by newcomer Bianca Belle), whose quirky and ominous drawings mysteriously begin to come to life. As these creations overrun her small town, her family is forced to confront the nightmarish consequences of Amber’s unleashed imagination.

The film stars Tony Hale, D’Arcy Carden, Kue Lawrence, Kalon Cox, Jaxen Kenner, and Genesis Rose Brown, with Bianca Belle making a striking debut in the lead role.

Critics have praised Sketch for its imaginative storytelling and rich visual palette, calling it “dazzlingly inventive.” The movie is said to channel “the wide-eyed wonder of Steven Spielberg, the impish mischief of Joe Dante, and the vibrant visuals of prime Pixar,” all mashed together in what one reviewer described as a “Magic Bullet blender of creativity.”

Fans of Fantasy Movie Plots and family adventure films steeped in otherworldly elements will find Sketch a compelling addition to the genre. With echoes of childhood classics and a modern twist, it explores the boundary between art and reality through a lens both humorous and haunting.

This exciting addition to the film industry reinforces Angel Studios’ growing reputation for supporting unique storytelling voices and genre-defying content. As anticipation builds, Sketch stands poised to capture the imaginations of both younger audiences and nostalgic adults alike.
