Vertical has unveiled the official trailer for Osiris, a gripping sci-fi thriller that plunges a team of Special Forces soldiers into a deadly struggle for survival aboard a hostile alien spacecraft. Directed by William Kaufman — a seasoned filmmaker and former US Army Cavalry Scout known for his extensive work in the action movie genre — Osiris blends intense military action with extraterrestrial terror.
The plot centers on a squad of commandos who find themselves abducted mid-operation and awaken with no memory on an alien vessel. Their relief is short-lived as they quickly realize they are being hunted by a merciless alien species intent on making them prey. The premise evokes echoes of classic films like Predator but introduces new, terrifying alien antagonists hungry for human flesh.
The film boasts a strong ensemble cast featuring Max Martini, Brianna Hildebrand, LaMonica Garrett, Michael Irby, and Linda Hamilton, the iconic heroine from the Terminator franchise. Kaufman, who has directed numerous action movies such as The Marine 4 and Jarhead 3, co-wrote the screenplay with Paul Reichelt. Produced by Jon Wroblewski and others, the movie represents another entry in Kaufman’s growing body of work in the film industry.
Osiris is slated for a July 25, 2025 release, debuting both in select US theaters and on VOD platforms. While it has not yet appeared at any major film festivals, early glimpses through the trailer suggest a high-octane mix of suspense and sci-fi action that fans of the genre will likely appreciate.
