he highly anticipated second season of Dandadan has just dropped its first English-dubbed trailer, building excitement for its upcoming episodes. As one of the standout releases of the Summer 2025 anime season, Dandadan is poised to make an even bigger splash than its debut, which took the anime world by surprise in 2024.
When the Dandadan anime premiered on Crunchyroll and Netflix last year, it quickly garnered an unexpected level of success. Although the series, based on the Shonen Jump manga, was anticipated to do well, its popularity exceeded expectations, with even the producers surprised by its massive success.
The second season promises to escalate that success even further, thanks in part to the highly anticipated Evil Eye arc. According to early projections, Dandadan Season 2 is on track to be one of the most significant anime releases of the year, possibly even “breaking the internet.”
What to Expect from Dandadan Season 2
Dandadan Season 2 will be available for streaming on both Netflix and Crunchyroll simultaneously with its Japanese broadcast starting July 3, 2025. Studio Science SARU, which handled the animation for the first season, will once again lead the production. This time, Spanish animator Abel Góngora, known for his work on Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! (2020) and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (2023), will co-direct alongside Fuga Yamashiro.

The Ongoing Success of the Dandadan Manga
The Dandadan manga, written by Yokinobu Tatsu, has been serialized since 2021, with 19 volumes published to date. Licensed by VIZ Media in the U.S., the manga had already achieved significant success on Shonen Jump+ before the anime adaptation. However, the series’ anime debut has catapulted its popularity to new heights, solidifying its place as one of the most beloved modern Shonen series.
With its second season on the horizon, Dandadan continues to capture the attention of anime fans worldwide, and it’s clear that this series has a bright future ahead.
