Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up to return to the big screen with a powerful patriotic military action movie inspired by the 2020 India-China Galwan Valley clash. The untitled film is set to bring the gripping real-life conflict to life, promising audiences a mix of intense action and emotional storytelling.
Actress Chitrangda Singh will play the film’s leading lady, marking her first-ever on-screen collaboration with Salman Khan. This new pairing has already sparked excitement among fans eager to see their chemistry unfold in the movie.
The script is reportedly adapted from India’s Most Fearless 3, a book by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh that chronicles stories of bravery in the Indian armed forces. Salman Khan is set to portray Colonel Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment, who led the Indian troops during the tense Galwan conflict. This role is particularly significant for Salman, as it will be his first time playing a real-life character in a full-length feature. While he has previously donned military uniforms in movies like Heroes and Jai Ho, those were brief appearances rather than leading roles.
Apoorva Lakhia, the director known for Shootout at Lokhandwala, will helm the project, aiming to deliver a thrilling yet heartfelt retelling of the events. The filming schedule is set to be an intense 70-day shoot expected to wrap up by October.
In preparation for the role, Salman is undergoing rigorous physical transformation and military training, shedding his bulky Sikandar look for a leaner, battle-ready avatar. Alongside Salman and Chitrangda, the film will also feature three younger actors, whose identities are yet to be announced.
This collaboration between Salman Khan and Chitrangda Singh comes nearly a decade after their friendship made headlines. Back in 2015, Salman reportedly mentored Chitrangda as she sought to expand her film career, at a time when she was the ambassador for Salman’s brother Sohail Khan’s Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) team.
Fans can look forward to this intense military movie that not only showcases brave real-life characters but also delivers gripping action scenes and a compelling story of courage under fire.
